Posts Closed to Comments are Now Reopened
April 28th, 2010 by
For an unknown reason, some of the posts in WebTechWise became close to comments in the past 2 days.
Thanks to Tek3D who brought that fact to my attention, I have now reopened those posts for comments.
I’m not sure how it happened, and I hope it’s not a a hack.
Anyways, I guess anything can happen at some point to most active blogs, and I’m glad it happened now and for a relatively short period of time.
It’s a funny thing because only yesterday I read an excellent post by Kristi discussing a hack into her blog and how she resolved the situation (very effectively).
Even though it was no fun finding the closed posts, the bright side is that I learned to keep my eyes open and take more precautions to avoid hacks to my blog in the future.

It’s good when other bloggers look out for each other like that. Tek3D is a good blogging friend to have. Some people would have just moved on to the next blog without saying a word. When you solve the mystery, I’m sure you’ll share the info.
Thanks.
I will definitely share the info if I solve the mystery
It is great that my comment could help your post
My blog was also hacked last year, the injection was put into the PHP files in my template. Your case reminds me of improving security for our blogs. Hope you will write about this problem someday.
I’m glad I was able to provider a refresher for the importance of blog security. thanks
